New Blog
I always felt that my blog wasn’t quite right; it seemed too monotonous. So, I spent time revamping it, and now it finally meets my expectations.
Contents
This blog is currently a work in progress. I’ll be making adjustments periodically until it stabilizes.
What’s New
I purchased a personal license from Tailwind because their Spotlight template fit my needs perfectly.
Here are the main features of the template:
- A simple, yet beautiful interface.
- Easy to customize, expand, and maintain.
- Support for screen readers and full keyboard navigation.
After getting the template, I made a few adjustments:
- Personalized the section pages.
- Replaced most of the images and icons.
- Removed unnecessary features.
- Fixed several bugs.
Google Technical Writing Guidelines
The Google Technical Writing Guidelines are based on the Google Technical Writing Courses. These guidelines help me write clear and easy-to-understand articles, ensuring the content is accessible to all readers.
Here are some key principles:
- Use clear, concise language. Avoid complex or obscure terms. Ensure the information is straightforward and easy to follow.
- Focus on the reader, using terminology and explanations they can understand.
- Maintain consistency in terminology, format, and style. Use standardized terms to make the content easier to grasp.
- Prefer active voice to make sentences more direct and engaging.
- Provide specific details to help the reader understand concepts or steps. Avoid vague descriptions.
- Use formatting tools like headings, subheadings, lists, and tables to organize the document and improve readability.
- Enhance explanations with illustrations, code samples, or screenshots to help the reader understand complex concepts or steps.
- Ensure the document meets accessibility standards so all readers, including those using assistive technologies, can access and understand it.
